They got separated just after her miscarriage. She went back to Mexico in 1924.
Reyes wanted to start her solo career. She became famous in no time due to her work on radio in Mexico. Reyes wanted to have a tour to Europe along with Juan N. Torreblanca. They canceled there plan when they reached Berlin. She abled to record her 1st album at that time and this album was the 1st album to introduce the Mexican music in Europe.
She began her career as a solo artist in 1928 and got much fame after just 1 year. Some of her famous songs were El corrido de Chihuahua, Traigo un Amor, La Tequilera, and Juan Colorado, and many more. Reyes also made a contract with Frank Founce an entrepreneur for performing on many concerts in the year of 1930 in Los Angeles.
Reyes also made her career in the film industry. She worked in the movie name Con Los dorados de Villa in the year of 1939.
