Hashim Khan’s Early Life
Hashim Khan was born in Peshawar in a Pashtun family. His cousins are also squash players of that time. On 1 July his family celebrated Hashim khan’s 100th birthday in 2014.
His father doing his services in Britsih’s club. At the age of eight years, he was brought to squash courts by his father. Khan’s father died in an accident when he was eleven years old. He started as a cleaner and ball fetching of courts at that time.
Career Of Hashim Khan
Hashim was served as a ball boy in the squash courts. He became a squash coach in 1942 in British mess to train British officers. His 1st title as a professional player was in 1944 by winning the All Indian Squash Championship. He retained his championship for the next 2 years. He became a professional player from Pakistan after the independence of Pakistan in 1947.
In 1951, when khan was 37 years old Pakistan Air Force sponsored him to take part in British Open. For the 1st time in his whole career, Hashim Khan wore shoes in courts.

He was the winner of the title by defeating his opponent name a Karim in the final game by 9-5, 9-0 and 9-0. Hashim also won this title again by defeating his same opponent of the previous year.
For the next 4 years, he is the winner of the squash world title from 1953 to 1957. He won last time his British Championship by betting Azam Khan in 1958. He was also the winner of 5 times British Professional Championship, 3 times Us Open Championship, and 3 Canadian Open championships.
After an invitation from the USA to train players for squash, he was moved to the USA in the 1960s in a club of Detroit. His club organized a tournament in his name every year as an honor of him.
Personal Life
He was the father of twelve children. His son was also a hardball squash player for the USA in the 1970s. Hashim’s son holds the record of winning the North American championship 12 times. His 6 other sons were also hardball squash players.
