They formed this band in Dayton, Ohio a state in the U.S. in 1950, their members were Robert Ward and Marshall “Rock” Jones, and Ralph ”Pee Wee”. They were known for their backing group for The Falcons at that time.

Twenty-one years Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner as a replacement of Ward. He became the frontman of the group. They became part of the New York-based Compass Records as the House Band. They were also added vocalist Helena Ferguson Kilpatrick in 1967. This group was dispatched again in the year 1970.
After this, their group was re-formed and their minor hit song was “Pain” in 1970. This song was at 40th place in the Billboard R&B chart. At the West Records, they met George Clinton.
